To update the ME firmware, please follow the steps below.
Step 1: Before turning on the system power, short pin 2-3 of the Flash Descriptor
Security Override jumper.
Step 2: Update the BIOS and ME firmware, and then turn off the system power.
Step 3: Remove the metal clip on the Flash Descriptor Security Override jumper or
return to its default setting (short pin 1-2).
Step 4: Restart the system. The system will reboot 2 ~ 3 times to complete the ME
firmware update. Step 0:
4.9.4 USB Power Selection
The USB power selection is made through the BIOS menu in “Chipset
Æ
PCH-IO Configuration”.
Use the USB Power SW1 and the USB Power SW2 BIOS options to configure the
correspondent USB ports (see Table 4-3 ) and refer to Table 4-4 to select the USB power source.
