ECP
The parallel port operates in the extended
capabilities port (ECP) mode. The ECP mode
supports bi-directional communication between the
system and the parallel port device and the
transmission rates between the two are much faster
than the SPP mode.
ECP+EPP
The parallel port is compatible with both ECP and
EPP devices.

EPP Mode Select [EPP1.7]
The
Parallel Port EPP Type
option is only available if the
Parallel Port Mode
option is
set to EPP mode. Use the
EPP Mode Select
option to select the parallel port mode
standard for the parallel port.
EPP1.9
EPP 1.9 is selected as the EPP standard.
EPP1.7
(Default)
EPP 1.7 is selected as the EPP standard.
ECP Mode Use DMA [3]
Use the
ECP Mode Use
option to select which DMA channel should be used for this port.
