IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON HANDLING BATTERIES
Please note the following instructions when handling batteries:

RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never throw batteries into a fire. Do not attempt to charge
non-rechargeable batteries.
▪
When replacing batteries, only use the same type of battery or an equivalent.
▪
Always change all the batteries at the same time. Do not use a combination of new and used
batteries, i.e. batteries with unequal charges.
▪
RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Never open the batteries. Never solder or weld batteries.
▪
RISK OF EXPLOSION AND INJURY! Do not short-circuit the connections.
▪
Please ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly. Observe the (+) plus and (-) minus
polarities on the battery and the battery compartment. Improperly inserted batteries could leak or
in extreme cases cause a fire or explosion.
▪
Never expose the batteries to excessive heat, e.g. strong sunlight or fire. The batteries could
explode.
▪
Check the batteries regularly. Leaking batteries can cause damage to the device.
▪
RISK OF CORROSION! If a battery has leaked, remove it from the battery compartment with the
help of a cloth and dispose of it properly. Avoid battery acid coming into contact with your skin
and eyes. If battery acid comes into contact with your eyes, rinse out your eyes with lots of water
and immediately contact a doctor. If battery acid comes into contact with your skin, rinse the
affected area immediately using lots of soap and water.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children. There is a risk that children could put batteries in their
mouth and swallow them. If a battery has been swallowed, please obtain immediate medical
assistance.

Remove dead batteries. Also remove the batteries if you know that the device is not going to be
used for a long period of time. Otherwise, the batteries may leak and cause damage.

Please remove the batteries before disposing of this device.
