Recommended Safety Inspection and Maintenance Schedule

Inspect

Action

Before each shift:

A check should be performed
before each shift.

Check for any bent parts, broken welds, loose
bolts or any physical damage. Check the strap on
the lifter for any rips or frays.

Test the lifting bar with the rocker switch in the cab
without lifting the trailer stand. Make sure the lifting
bar goes through its full range of motion up and down
and that both limit switches are operating correctly by
turning off the winch motor when needed.

Test the lifting device by lifting the Shuntable 2.0
trailer stand. Does the limit switch turn off the lifting
motor when the trailer stand reaches its upper most
travel off the ground? The motor should not be
running if the trailer stand has reached its hard stop.

Call maintenance if adjustments are required.

Monthly:

Bumper wear and tear

1. Check the condition of the bottom pads
2. Check the condition of the vertical step
bumper
3. Replace if necessary

Yearly:

Inspect for bent, damaged or
missing bumpers, fasteners, etc.

1. Check to ensure all moving parts operate
smoothly.
2. Replace or repair if necessary.
