Manual IB-2914MSCL-C31
Important Information before you start the cloning process:
•
The target drive (Target) must be of the same capacity or bigger
than the source drive (Source).
•
If the target drive is smaller than the source drive, it is not possib-
le to start the clone mode by pressing the button.
In this case the 25% + 50% LED and the 75% + 100% LED start to
flash alternately.
•
Cloning creates an identical copy of your drive.
•
Since the cloning process copies every single byte of the source drive,
the process may take several hours depending on the drive capacity and
technology.
•
After the cloning process is complete, the computer may not be
able to identify both drives because they are assigned the same
drive letter. To separate the drives, at least one of the SSDs must
be given a different drive letter or marked as "online". (Under
Windows
®
in "disk manager").
•
If only one drive is plugged into Source, there will be no action when you
press the clone button (7).
•
If the target drive (Target) is bigger than the source drive (Source), you may
create a new volume with the remaining space on the target drive after
cloning.
DO NOT connect the computer when the device is in clone mode.
