Starting the clone process
•
Connect the IB-2912MCL-C31 to the delivered power supply and the
USB Type-C® cable to the corresponding port of your host computer
and switch on the device via the ON/OFF switch.
•
When the IB-2912MCL-C31 has been plugged in correctly the Power
LED will turn on blue!
•
To start the cloning process, press and hold the "Clone" button for
about 10 seconds. If the selection was successful, the 0-50% and 50-
100% LEDs will light up green briefly. The cloning process was started
successfully when only the 0-50% LED starts flashing green.
•
To interrupt the cloning progress just press the “Reset” button.
•
The clone process is completed when both progress LEDs are perman-
ently green (not flashing).
•
To switch from clone mode to PC mode, simply press the "Reset" button.
The SSDs are then registered in the operating system.
Application
•
The external SSD can be connected to or disconnected from the com-
puter without shutting down the computer.
•
Please await the end of read/write operations before disconnecting
the SSD to avoid data loss.
•
A new SSD must first be initialized, partitioned and formatted by the
operation system to be displayed by the system.
•
If the drive is not recognized instantly by the operating system please
check:
a) if the driver software is installed (USB)
b)if the SSD is initialized, partitioned and formatted.
Note
: The full USB 3.1 (Gen 2) transfer rate can only be achieved with a
compatible USB 3.1 (Gen 2) host computer. Furthermore, the USB 3.1 drivers
must be installed by the operating system. If this is not the case, install the
appropriate drivers for your operating system.
