REPLACEMENT
Note:
The barcode reader window has been modified to prevent fluid ingress.
if the barcode reader window needs to be replaced.
Recommended tools and materials for this procedure are a 1/4 inch nutdriver, an X-acto
knife, isopropyl alcohol, CleanTex CT 811 OpticPad Optic Surface Cleaner, and a lint-free
cloth.

To replace the barcode reader, gasket, and window, see
, and proceed as follows:
1. Disconnect the infuser from AC power.
2. Separate the front and rear enclosures as described in
3. Disconnect the barcode reader cable from J8 on the MCU PWA.
4. Using the nutdriver, remove the two 6-32 screws from the barcode reader bracket.
5. Remove the barcode reader by pulling it up and off the mounting pins on the front
enclosure.
6. Using the X-acto knife, remove the barcode reader gasket from the barcode reader
bracket. Clean the bracket with isopropyl alcohol and dry thoroughly.
7. Remove the protective backing from the replacement barcode reader gasket
and adhere the gasket to the barcode reader bracket.
8. Install the replacement barcode reader using the screws that were removed in
Step 4.
9. Reconnect the barcode reader cable to the MCU PWA.
Note:
Verify all connectors are fully seated before the front and rear enclosures
are closed and fastened.
10. Reassemble the infuser in the exact reverse order of disassembly.
To verify successful replacement of the barcode reader and gasket, perform the PVT in

CAUTION:
Do not touch the barcode reader window. Fingerprints
or other contamination can degrade barcode reader performance.
If necessary, clean the barcode reader window with CleanTex CT
811 OpticPad Optic Surface Cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
