Note:
Navigating plug-in/EQ parameters in 3rd party plug-ins without a D5 display
unit in some DAWs may present issues. Users may find it useful to employ the
'focus' button, using the jog wheel to change parameters and settings of plug ins
etc., as described in section 5.
Users may wish to employ this method, regardless as it is very useful and intuitive!
12. Master
Select this button so that the Master channel is selected. The fader will operate
the master channel fader and associated EQ, plugs ins etc. Press Cntrl + the
Master button in Pro Tools to operate.
13. Lock
Pressing this button will ensure that the associated channel's fader level does
not change regardless of the movement of the physical fader. The user must
press this button to 'unlock' the channel in order to affect a change.
14. Up and down arrows
Use these buttons to navigate through information on the on-board display. The
type of information displayed is communicated from the DAW to the device - the
P1-Nano cannot change or interpret the information sent - it is DAW dependent.
15. D5 sockets
These sockets are used to house the 'legs' of the D5 display unit. A D5 display
unit will significantly enhance the experience of the user. Without a D5 unit, if the
user wishes to affect a change in, say a plug in, they may observe parameter
changes etc. in the DAW itself or on the smaller, on-board display, (information
displayed is DAW-dependent).
