HOW IT WORKS
Qi works through a technology called inductive
charging. Inductive charging uses an electromag-
netic field, created by two matching coils, to transfer
energy between the two objects.
Qi always involves two devices: one transmitter and
one receiver.
The transmitter sends magnetic energy out. The
receiver receives the magnetic energy and converts it
to electrical energy, which recharges the battery.
Because the charging is wireless, remember that
it can take a little longer than a traditional charger
cable to fill up your battery. Today, Qi is about conve-
nience, not speed.
