Connecting the HM-218

Turning ON the transceiver

1.   Connect the microphone cable to the separation 

cable’s MIC connector, as shown below.

2.   Push [VOL/PWR] on the HM-218 to turn ON the 

transceiver.

MICROPHONE INSTALLATION

You can install the microphone and the separation cable on a wall as a wall socket using the supplied mounting base 

and self-tapping screws.

2.   Attach the separation cable to the mounting base, and 

then attach the nut.

3.   Using the mounting base as a template, mark the 

holes where the three screws will be placed.

4.   Drill the screw holes at the marks.

5.   Attach the mounting base with the supplied screws, as 

shown to the far right.

NOTE:

 • You can only attach the HM-218 to the RMK-5’s front 

panel.

 • You cannot attach the HM-218 to the transceiver’s control 

head.
