AIR CLEANER

The air cleaner filter used in this motorcycle is a polyurethane foam filter. If the filter has become clogged

with dust, intake resistance will increase with a resultant decrease in power output and increase in fuel
consumption due to richer mixture. Clean the air cleaner filter periodically.

CAUTION:

If driving under dusty conditions, the filter must

be cleaned and replaced more frequently.

CAUTION:

Never operate the engine without the air cleaner in

position. Operating the engine without the air cleaner
will increase engine wear. Always be sure that the air
cleaner is in excellent operational condition at all
times. The life of the engine depends largely on this
component.
