5. If a grounded chassis is required, install the grounding lug by inserting 1/4”
-20 pem stud into either the right hand or left hand side of the splice tray unit
in front of the grommets. Secure the grounding lug with a 1/4”-20 nut.
6. After installing the required hardware on the trays, slide the trays back into
the enclosure.
7. Mount the enclosure onto the rack and secure the enclosure with the
mounting bracket screws provided.
8. Install the Danger Label in a location that is visible to technicians.
11. FIBER CABLE INSTALLATION:
1. Pull the master termination panel out towards the rear of the enclosure
exposing the spools and previously installed termination panels.
2. Before installing fiber cable, follow approved cleaning procedures.
3. After cleaning, install one fiber cable at a time and route the
unjacketed/jacketed fibers around the spools and secure the fiber bundles as
required.
4. Provide a slack loop of fiber cable connecting the upper termination panel
slide-out tray to the bottom Splice Tray unit using tie wraps.
5. Route the cables or cable bundles around the slack storage spools and
into each of the fiber management saddles and then to the Splice Tray.
CAUTION: Ensure that slack allows the top or bottom tray to slide out without
damage to any cable.

10. Close the front panel and rotate both locks in a horizontal position.

9. Install the Circuit Identification label on the front door of the enclosure.
Use the label holders as an alignment guide.
12. Select the appropriate fiber splice sleeves from the kit supplied with the
splice tray and install into the splice tray.
Step 12.
13. Prepare a minimum of 4 ft. of fiber cable and route it around through the
splice tray. Splice all fiber required.
14. After splicing, slide the shelf back into position and secure all fiber cables
and bundles. Re-install both the front and rear doors of the enclosure.
