INSTALLATION
The temperature category is –25/C and so the ambient temperature must lie within the limits laid down by the CEI EN 60831-1 standards, namely:
-
Maximum value
: 50 °C
-
Maximum mean value over 24h
: 40 °C
-
Maximum mean value over 1 year
: 30 °C
If the temperatures indicated above are not respected, adequate ventilation must be provided.
If more than one capacitor is to be installed, a minimum distance of 50 mm must be kept between each capacitor on all sides.
As far as contactors and fuses are concerned, the following indications are to be followed:
-
Contactors: specific for capacitive load type AC6b , phasing contactors equipped with plug-in resistors connected by means of lead contacts (see figure 4)
-
Fuses: they are to be sized according to the size of the phasing capacitor bank that they are to protect. We recommend they be sized for a current 1.5
times the rated current of the capacitor bank, using Gg or gL type fuses.
Pay particular attention to choose contactors equipped with plug-in resistors as this is essential to limit the currents that arise as
transients.
Caution: always fit the capacitors in a vertical position to ensure good heat dissipation. Other positions are NOT allowed.
