Replacing the battery
1.
Turn off the computer, or enter hibernation mode
by pressing Fn+F12.
Then disconnect the ac adapter and all cables from the computer.
Note:
If you are using a PC Card, the computer may not be able to enter
hibernation mode. If this happens, turn off the computer.

Close the computer display, and turn the computer upside down.
3.
Slide the battery pack latch toward the back of the computer and hold

until the battery pack is removed

Note:
The first position of the battery pack latch is for releasing the lock
of the battery pack.

4.
Align the side of a fully charged spare battery pack with the side of the
battery space in the computer

; then gently push the battery into the
space

Slide the battery pack latch to the left to lock it.
