Branchez votre ordinateur et votre moniteur sur les prises protégées par
batterie de secours/contre les surtensions. (Elles fournissent à la fois une
protection contre les surtensions et une batterie de secours.)

Remarque :

Ne branchez pas d’imprimante laser sur ces prises.

Branchez les périphériques tels qu’imprimantes, scanneurs ou télécopieurs
sur les prises Surge Protected (protégées contre les surtensions). (Ces
périphériques ne seront pas alimentés par la batterie en cas de coupure
d’alimentation.)

Vous pouvez éventuellement effectuer les opérations suivantes :

Connectez le port DB9 de votre UPS à un port DB9 de votre ordinateur à
l’aide du câble fourni. Installez l’utilitaire Power Management Utility
(utilitaire de gestion de l’alimentation) à partir du CD-ROM fourni. Cette
étape de l’installation est facultative ; votre UPS fonctionnera correctement
sans cette connexion.

2.

Branchez une seule ligne de téléphone dans la prise IN. Raccordez un
téléphone, un modem ou un télécopieur dans l’une des prises OUT ou
dans les deux ; un cordon de 2 m (6 pieds) est fourni à cet effet. Cette
étape de l’installation est facultative ; votre UPS fonctionnera correctement
sans cette connexion.
