
Connecting the power cables to the system
Use the procedure in this section to connect power cables to the system.
Note:
Before connecting the power cables to the system, you must have completed cabling the system
and setting up a console.
To connect power cables to the system, complete the following steps:
1.
Remove the power-supply shipping bracket (if present). Ensure that the power supplies have been
reseated, as shown in Figure 20.
2.
While facing the rear of the system unit, route the system power cord through the cable retention
bracket.
Note:
You might need to pull the power supply out slightly to route the cable though the retention
bracket. After you route the cable through the retention bracket, reseat the power supply, as shown in
Figure 21 on page 20.
