Replacing a PCIe adapter in the 7063-CR1 system
Learn how to replace a PCIe adapter in the IBM 7063-CR1 Hardware Management Console system.
Procedure
1.
Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2.
Refer to the PCIe adapter position as shown in Figure 24.
3.
Complete the following steps:
a.
Replace the PCIe adapter riser (UIO Network) into the system backplane.
b.
Replace the two screws to secure the PCIe riser card to the chassis as shown in Figure 25 on page
26.
