The maximum number of features allowed for 6006 is 1. The maximum allowed for
6008 is 12. The maximum number of features allowed for 6106 is 1. The maximum
allowed for 6108 is 12.
2. Feature codes 6006 and 6008 cannot be mixed within a drive enclosure. Feature codes
6106 and 6108 cannot be mixed within a drive enclosure.
3. In a DS8700, 8 drives are the minimum number of SSDs (Raid-5 only) that are
supported. A single DDM failure in a minimum configuration triggers the call home
feature.
Feature codes for IBM Full Disk Encryption disk drive sets
Use the IBM Full Disk Encryption (FDE) disk drive feature codes to order the
encryption disk drive sets for your storage unit.
Each IBM Full Disk Encryption disk drive set provides 16 disk drives. Table 17 on
page 96 provides the various encryption disk drive sets that you can order (based
on disk size and RPM), and the feature codes to use.
