Configuring
the
management
module
When
the
BladeCenter
T
unit
is
started
initially,
it
automatically
configures
the
Ethernet
ports
on
the
LAN
module,
which
are
the
remote
management
ports,
so
that
you
can
configure
and
manage
the
BladeCenter
T
unit
and
blade
servers.
You
configure
and
manage
the
BladeCenter
T
unit
remotely,
through
the
active
management
module,
using
the
Web-based
user
interface.
If
the
management
module
that
you
installed
is
the
second
management
module
in
the
BladeCenter
T
unit,
you
do
not
configure
it.
The
secondary
management
module
receives
the
configuration
and
status
information
automatically
from
the
primary
(active)
management
module
when
necessary.
If
the
management
module
that
you
installed
is
a
replacement
for
the
only
management
module
in
the
BladeCenter
T
unit,
and
you
saved
the
configuration
file
before
replacing
the
management
module,
you
can
restore
the
saved
configuration
file
to
the
replacement
management
module
using
the
management
module
Web
interface.
