7. If you need to remove the riser cards (A), or (B); remove the screws that secure the PCIe riser card to
the cage (C) as shown in Figure 38.
Replacing a PCIe adapter in the 9006-12C system
Learn how to replace a PCIe adapter in the IBM Power System LC921 (9006-12C) system.
Procedure
1.
Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. Refer to the PCIe adapter positions as shown in Figure 39.
