To
use
some
of
these
features,
such
as
Wake
up
by
LAN
,
the
server
must
contain
Wake
on
LAN
hardware
and
software,
and
your
operating
system
must
support
Wake
on
LAN
functions.
To
cause
the
server
to
resume
on
a
predetermined
date
and
time,
select
Resume
On
Time
;
then,
use
Resume
Date
and
Resume
Time
to
specify
the
date
and
time.
Use
the
After
Power
Failure
choice
to
specify
whether
the
server
should
stay
off
or
resume
when
power
is
restored
after
a
power
failure.

Console
Redirection
Select
this
choice
to
view
and
change
the
settings
for
the
serial
connection
used
to
redirect
the
local
keyboard-video-mouse
console
to
a
remote
console.
You
must
set
the
Console
Redirection
value
to
On-board
COM
A
to
see
any
of
the
other
values
on
this
screen.
The
default
value
is
Disabled
.
Note:
The
FIFO
level
is
a
buffer
setting
that
is
used
by
the
baseboard
management
controller
for
data
transmission.
A
value
of
14
(the
default)
is
required
for
a
Serial
over
LAN
connection
and
is
preferred
for
other
types
of
connection.
Leave
the
setting
at
14.

the
console-redirection
connection.

Baseboard
Management
Controller
Select
this
choice
to
view
and
change
the
settings
for
the
baseboard
management
controller.
The
baseboard
management
controller
is
also
known
as
the
service
processor.
You
can
view
the
firmware
levels
of
the
Intelligent
Platform
Management
Interface
specification
and
the
baseboard
management
controller,
change
the
setting
for
the
COM
port
the
baseboard
management
controller
uses,
enable
or
disable
the
BIOS
POST
watchdog,
and
view
the
system
event
log.

Select
this
choice
to
view
the
three
most
recent
error
codes
and
messages
that
the
system
generated
during
POST.
You
can
use
the
arrow
keys
to
move
between
pages
in
the
error
log.
Select
Clear
error
logs
to
clear
the
POST
error
log.

System
Error
Log
If
an
optional
Remote
Supervisor
Adapter
II
is
installed,
a
system
error
log
is
created
which
contains
the
full
text
of
the
error
messages.
You
can
use
the
arrow
keys
to
move
between
pages
in
the
error
log.
Select
Clear
error
logs
to
clear
the
system
error
log.
