a. Insert the standoffs that come with the option into the mounting holes in the
Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine.
b. Align the mounting holes in the Interposer card with the standoffs; then,
align the connector on the card with the connector on the Remote
Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine.
c. Press the Interposer card and Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine
together until fastened.
2. Carefully grasp the Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine assembly by its top
edge or upper corners, and align it with the guide and the connector on the I/O
board.
Attention: Incomplete insertion might cause damage to the server or the
adapter.
3. Press the assembly firmly into the connector and under the retention latch on
the guide.
4. Install the top cover (see “Replacing the top cover” on page 42).
5. Connect the cables and power cords (see “Connecting the cables” on page 40
for cabling instructions).
6. Turn on all attached devices and the server.
Removing the ServeRAID-8k or ServeRAID-8k-l SAS controller
To remove the ServeRAID-8k or ServeRAID-8k-l SAS controller, complete the
following steps.
