What
your
server
offers
The
server
uses
the
following
features
and
technologies:
v
High-performance
graphics
controller
The
server
comes
with
an
integrated
graphics
controller.
This
high-performance
controller
supports
high
resolutions
and
includes
many
performance-enhancing
features
for
your
operating-system
environment.
v
System
Diagnostics
CD
The
server
comes
with
an
System
Diagnostics
CD,
which
you
can
use
to
diagnose
problems.
v
IBM
Director
IBM
Director
is
a
workgroup-hardware-management
tool
that
you
can
use
to
centrally
manage
System
x
and
xSeries
servers.
For
more
information,
see
the
IBM
xSeries
Systems
Management
Web
page
at
which
presents
an
overview
of
IBM
Systems
Management
and
IBM
Director.
The
server
supports
level
0
only.
v
IBM
ServerGuide
Setup
and
Installation
CD
The
ServerGuide
™
Setup
and
Installation
provides
programs
to
help
you
set
up
the
server
and
install
the
operating
system.
The
ServerGuide
program
detects
installed
optional
hardware
devices
and
provides
the
correct
configuration
programs
and
device
drivers.
For
more
information
about
the
ServerGuide
Setup
and
Installation
CD,
see
v
Integrated
network
support
The
server
comes
with
an
integrated
Intel
Gigabit
Ethernet
controller,
which
supports
connection
to
a
10
Mbps,
100
Mbps,
or
1000
Mbps
network.
For
more
information,
see
v
Large
system-memory
capacity
The
server
supports
up
to
8
GB
of
system
memory.
The
memory
controller
supports
error
correcting
code
(ECC)
for
up
to
four
industry-standard,
1.8
V,
240-pin,
double-data-rate
2
(DDR2),
PC2-5300
or
PC2-6400
unbuffered,
synchronous
dynamic
random
access
memory
(SDRAM)
dual
inline
memory
modules
(DIMMs).
v
Redundant
connection
The
addition
of
an
optional
network
interface
card
(NIC)
provides
a
failover
capability
to
a
redundant
Ethernet
connection.
If
a
problem
occurs
with
the
primary
Ethernet
connection,
all
Ethernet
traffic
that
is
associated
with
the
primary
connection
is
automatically
switched
to
the
redundant
NIC.
If
the
applicable
device
drivers
are
installed,
this
switching
occurs
without
data
loss
and
without
user
intervention.
Reliability,
availability,
and
serviceability
Three
important
server
design
features
are
reliability,
availability,
and
serviceability
(RAS).
The
RAS
features
help
to
ensure
the
integrity
of
the
data
that
is
stored
in
the
server,
the
availability
of
the
server
when
you
need
it,
and
the
ease
with
which
you
can
diagnose
and
repair
problems.
The
server
has
the
following
RAS
features:
v
1-year
parts,
1-year
labor
limited
warranty
v
Advanced
Configuration
and
Power
Interface
(ACPI)
v
