Floor weight-support requirements
Floor reinforcement must support a weight of 884 kg (1949 lb) on an area of 600
mm
×
1092 mm (24 in.
×
43 in.). These measurements are slightly less than the
footprint area of the system, due to the overhang of the door. To ensure that all
requirements are met, obtain the service of a qualified structural engineer to help
prepare the floor.
Important:
If you do not know or are not certain about the floor load rating of the
installation site, you must check with the building engineer or another appropriate
person.
Physical network connection requirements
The basic network requirements are as follows:
v
50 micron multimode fiber-channel cables with LC connectors
v
The following cable requirements and cable positioning at the installation area:
– Straight copper gigabit CAT5e-rated cables with RJ-45 connectors for iSCSI
and management
– Straight copper CAT5e-rated cables with RJ-45 connectors for connecting to a
virtual private network (VPN)
– A length of at least 3 m (10 ft) of fiber-channel and Ethernet cables that is
used for internal-cabinet cable wiring
For more details about network connectivity requirements, see

System (Type: 2810, 2812) Model A14 (Gen 2) Pre-Installation Network Planning Guide

Delivery requirements
This section describes both standard delivery requirements and the
shipping-weight reduction option.
Standard delivery requirements
You must meet the following requirements to enable delivery:
v
A clear and level path from the truck to the building entrance
v
No steps from the truck to the lab
v
Delivery clearances, shown in Table 12
Table 12 shows the typical pallet dimensions. These delivery clearance
requirements are for all doors and elevators.
