Transmit Control—Multiplexer
NOTE: One Idle character must follow the
to enable the
terminal motor to attain full speed.
The Standby and Dial-Connect lights turn off, the
Receive light turns on, the terminal motor turns on,
and the keyboard locks. The terminal is now
conditioned to receive the data transmitted by the
multiplexer.
At the completion of transmission the communi
cation line can be disconnected automatically by the
multiplexer (if the Auto-Disconnect feature is in
stalled on the multiplexer data set), or by operating
the Dial-Disconnect key at the terminal.
