i-Stor LAN User Guide
Chapter 3 - Web Configuration / Page 22
Network Service
In this menu, you can enable or disable the network services like the DHCP server,
Bonjour and the BitTorrent™ download service.
DHCP Server
In this section, you can enable and set up the DHCP server. In general, there is already a
DHCP server on the local network, so you don’t need to enable this but if required, enable
it and configure the addresses.
Once you have set everything up, press the “Save” button to start the DHCP server and
save the settings.
Bonjour
In this section, you can enable or disable the Bonjour service. By default, this is disabled
but for easy access to the login page, you can enable it. In addition to that, you can also
enable the iTunes service, so that music files can be accessed directly from iTunes.
When the iTunes option is enabled, you can store your MP3 music files in the
/public/music folder and play them directly from iTunes. The i-Stor LAN will automatically
appear in iTunes under shared devices.
