Switch reading mode
This allows you to program the switch to the next reading mode in the
list of reading modes available. See:
Basic parameters
, Selecting the
reading mode. If the current reading mode is
Text
, this will make you
switch to the
Bar Codes
reading mode. If the current reading mode is
Bar Codes
, this will make you switch to the
Image
reading mode.
Remember that the reading mode is always specified in the
Status
window.
User String
This allows you to program the addition of a character string. To enter
your key sequence, tick
User String
, then introduce the character
string in the proposed field and click
OK
to confirm.

ETTING THE TEXT ALIGNMENT
With the
Text Alignment
feature, you can indicate how the
scanned lines must be delimited. Where should the reading actually
start if a word has been cropped during scanning? How should
hyphens be interpreted when occurring at the end of a line? Should
prefixes or suffixes be added before and/or after the read data?
To set the text alignment:

Click on
Set the text Alignment
in the IRISPen
Palette
or
select
Alignment
from the
Settings
menu.
