UNPACKING and ASSEMBLY 

 

 

TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ACCIDENTAL OPERATION: 
Make sure that the Trigger is in the off-position and unplug the tool from its 
electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section. 
This packaging contains sharp objects. Take care when unpacking. Remove the 
machine, together with the accessories supplied, from the packaging.

Unpacking. 

4.1.1.

 

Check carefully to ensure that the machine is in good condition and account for all the 

accessories listed in this manual. 

4.1.2.

 

If any parts are found to be missing, the machine and its accessories should be returned 

together in their original packaging to the retailer. 

4.1.3.

 

Do not throw the packaging away, keep it safe throughout the guarantee period, then 

recycle if possible, otherwise dispose of it by the proper means. 

4.1.4.

 

Do not let children play with empty plastic bags due to the risk of suffocation. 

 

4.2.

 

Knife installation and adjustment. 

 

 

Before working on the Knives, wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty 
leather work gloves. 
Unplug planer and allow Knives to cool completely if used recently. 

 

The heads of the Knife Holder Bolts are facing the Front Base Plate 

 

4.2.1.

 

The planer is equipped with two reversible knives. Reverse or replace the knives as a set in 

order to avoid an imbalance between the two knife holder assemblies.  

4.2.2.

 

Wearing heavy-duty leather work gloves, rotate the knife drum until one knife holder and 

knife are accessible through the gap between the base plates. 

4.2.3.

 

 To loosen the knife holder from the drum, Use the 

supplied wrench to turn the knife holder bolts in an 
anticlockwise direction the bolts thread into the knife 
holder, thus releasing pressure on the drum and 
allowing the knife holder to be removed. 

4.2.4.

 

Use a piece of wood to slide the knife lengthwise 

out of the knife drum.  

4.2.5.

 

Once the knife has been removed, clean the knife, 

the press blade plate, knife holder, and the knife drum 
thoroughly. Carefully examine the knife holder for
