According to the USB 1.1/2.0 Standard, 

usage of a USB device with power current 
consumption exceeding 500 mA is not 
recommended without supplementary power 
supply. Failure to use supplementary power for 
connected USB drives with power consumption 
exceeding this value as well as defective 
USB drives may cause mechanical or thermal 
changes of elements of this unit as well as 
failure of internal elements of the USB port. 
Such damages are not warranty cases.

Warning: usage of external USB drives 

containing BIN files in the root directory may 
cause malfunction of the unit or damage to the 
software.

Alarm operation

Alarm mode

•  In clock mode, press MODE button to 

activate the alarm mode.

•  In alarm mode press and hold SET button 

to set the alarming time. Press repeatedly 
SET button to go to setting of parameters in 
following sequence: hours => minutes => exit. 
When setting, the set digits of time will flash. 
Press TURN+ or TURN- buttons to adjust the 
time. if no button is pressed within 30 seconds 
after a parameter is selected, the unit will 
automatically set the alarm.

• If no button is pressed within 30 seconds in 

alarm mode, the unit will exit to clock mode.

Alarm ringing

• When setting alarm, press RADIO button, 

then the playing radio station will be set as the 
alarm (the playing radio frequency is set as the 
last played radio frequency), 

Ringing will last 15 minutes.
• If the radio station was not set as an alarm 

signal, then the unit will beep periodically.

• In order to set a track from any MP3 carrier 

(USB/SD/MMC) as an alarm signal, press the 
MP3 button when setting the alarm without 

first inserting the carrier, then press the MODE 
button to exit to clock mode, only then insert 
the MP3 carrier to the appropriate slot on the 
device.

 When setting radio or MP3 as an alarm 

signal, make sure the DISPLAY ON/OFF 
switch on the back panel is switched to ON. 
Otherwise the alarm will not go off.

• After setting the alarm, press MODE button 

to exit to clock mode. 

• Press ALARM button and the alarm mode 

will be on and an “ALARM” indicator will 
appear on the screen.

• When the alarm goes off press any button 

(except the SNOOZE button) to stop the alarm. 
If SNOOZE button is pressed the “SNOOZE” 
indicator will flash on the screen. Snooze time 
is 5 minutes (snooze function can be used 2 
times in a row). 

Sleep timer

•  In USB/SD/MMC mode or Radio mode 

press and hold ALARM button to enable sleep 
timer setting mode. The time figures will blink.

•  Press repeatedly TURN+/TURN- 

buttons to set the time after which the unit 
will automatically switch off. Each pressing 
decreases/increases the time by 10 minutes. 
10 minutes as minimum and 1 hour as 
maximum can be set. After you set the sleep 
time, press ALARM button to confirm. The 
sleep time countdown will start.

Maintenance and care

If necessary, clean the unit with a piece of 

cloth dampened with water only (be sure the 
power cord is disconnected). The unit should 
not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no 
objects filled with liquids, should be placed on 
the unit. Normal ventilation of the unit must not 
be impeded for intended use.
