SECTION 17:
MANUAL QUICK RELEASE OPERATION
The quick release will allow for manual gate operation. Before disengaging the quick release make sure to
disable power from the control board by unplugging the main and battery power terminals.
CAUTION!
BEFORE MANUALLY OPENING THE GATE, VERIFY THAT POWER HAS BEEN SHUT OFF.

Locate the quick release assembly (FIGURE 17-1) and disengage by pulling the knurled knob until the lock pins
seperate from the sprocket and turning in either direction a half turn (FIGURE 17-2).
NOTE:
If the gate or motor is in a bind the chain could be tight and cause increased pressure on the quick
release assembly. You may not be able to pull the handle until the pressure is relieved.
Once the quick release is disengaged you can manually move the gate.
When ready to rengage the quick release simply turn the handle until the pins seat back into the sprocket and
lock into place.
