Setting Up the SupaRetroN
®
HD via AV Cable (FIG.2)
1. Insert the AV cable into the AV PORT on the SupaRetroN® HD.
2. Insert the other end of the AV cable into the AV input on the TV.
With the SupaRetroN® HD turned off, insert a SCOUT into CONTROLLER PORT 1. For
two-player games, insert a second SCOUT into CONTROLLER PORT 2. The SupaRetroN® HD
is also compatible with original SNES and SNES-compatible controllers.

1. Insert the cartridge into the CARTRIDGE SLOT.
2. Turn ON the SupaRetroN® HD by pressing the POWER button. The Hyperkin logo located
on the right-hand corner of the console will light up BLUE when powered on.
3. While ON, you can reset the SupaRetroN® HD by pressing the RESET button.
4. When done playing, press the POWER button to turn OFF the SupaRetroN® HD.
5. Lastly, to remove your cartridge safely, press the EJECT button to release the cartridge.
Note: Make sure your aspect ratio and region are configured before powering on the SupaRetroN® HD.
• Located in the BACK (Fig.2) of the SupaRetroN® HD is the ASPECT RATIO SWITCH. Moving
the switch to the LEFT position indicates a 16:9 ratio. Moving the switch to the RIGHT position
indicates a 4:3 ratio. Aspect ratio can only be toggled when using HD cable.
• Located on the BOTTOM (Fig.3) of the SupaRetroN® HD is the region switch. With the front
of the console oriented upwards and the bottom facing you, moving the switch to the LEFT
position indicates you are using a NTSC cartridge. Moving the switch to the RIGHT position
indicates you are using an PAL cartridge.
Aspect Ratio and the Region Switches
BEFORE powering on your SupaRetroN® HD, make sure your aspect (via HD cable only) and region
is configured.
