9. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Make sure your hands are washed and dried before cleaning the optical parts. Grease
and other substances from the palm of the hand can be easily transferred through the
material of a cloth or other materials to the lenses.
Glass parts (eyepiece and lenses) may only be cleaned with a fine cloth or other fine,
clean, lint-free cloth or lens-care product intended for anti-reflective coatings
(eyepieces, microscopic lenses, binoculars, telescopes, etc.). Do not rub your lenses
too hard or too often, as you can damage the delicate coating on your lenses.
If the polyester cloth has been soiled it should be replaced with another one intended
for cleaning optical components.
The PVC bag (Polyvinyl chloride) can be cleaned with a wet cloth or dirtwashed
manually in water at a temperature of up to 30°C with a small amount of mild
detergents in case of heavy dirt. Afterwards it should be left to dry completely.
The housing and other parts of the product including those covered with rubber
(excluding lenses), may be cleaned with a damp and wrung cloth and dried as soon as
possible with dry cloth or paper towel, taking care not to contaminate the optical parts.
The product should not be submerged in water or exposed to continuous exposure to
water or other liquids.
10. TROUBLESHOOTING
In case of any problems with the device, please refer to the following tips.
I can't set the focus.
Check that the lens of the eyepieces or lenses are not
dirty.
Check that the center focus knob or dioptre
adjustment ring change the image.
If you can set the focus for one eye and not for the
other, check that you follow the procedure described
in the section "FOCUS AND DIOPTRE ADJUSTMENT"
If so, make sure you don't have a visual impairment
that cannot be compensated for by adjustment in your
binoculars.
I see no image at all
Check that all lens caps are removed.
If the covers are removed, the interval between the
eyepieces is set and focus is adjusted properly and the
image is still not visible, the optical system may be
damaged.
If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer's service department.
