The FlowHD must be connected with 3M™ DBR/Y-6 wire splicers. Follow manufacturer’s instructions
when using the 3M™ DBR/Y-6 Wire Splicers.
Best practices include:

Stripping insulation 3/4” from the connecting end

Ensuring the connector is inserted all the way into the tube until the connector rests on the bottom
of the tube

Ensuring there is no water intrusion into the connector

Tightening connections until secure
NOTE: If having difficulty getting the twist-on connector down into the tube when using small gauge
wires, use a thin, non-conductive object to push the connector to the bottom of the tube. Upon
removal of the object, ensure that no voids or water paths remain in the gel.

1. Connect the wires from the FlowHD Device to the field wires, using the diagram below as a guide.
