8.3 Cleaning the protective screen
To protect the pump from coarse contaminant particles or for-
eign bodies, a protective screen is installed in the suction
lance. Clean the strainer regularly. Check the protective screen
immediately in the event of insufficient suction or delivery rate.

The filter unit will be damaged/destroyed

To clean the protective screen, proceed as follows:

Switch the filter unit off at the main switch.
ü
Wear gloves.
ü
Remove the pressure and suction lances from the con-
tainers/reservoirs.
ü
Empty the suction hose into a suitable container, dirt
tank etc.

Rotate the protection pipe (5) away from the suction
lance (2) in counterclockwise direction.
