Electrical
Electrical connection of the heater can be made by means of the pre-wired 5 amp
plug directly to any socket or alternatively via a fused spur connected to the fixed
wiring of the property. Ensure all safety warnings from section 2 of this manual are
followed.
•
If the heater is to be connected to the fixed wiring of the property then
installation must include a double pole isolating switch with a break contact
distance of at least 3mm.
•
Make the connections as:
Green/Yellow earth wire to terminal or marked “E”
Brown live wire to the terminal marked “L”
Blue neutral wire to the terminal marked “N”
3. Operation
Thermal cut-out
The tubular heater range is designed as a low powered gentle background heat
provider. It is designed to operate continuously until the environment reaches approx.
15 C at which point it may start to cycle in the safety cut-out feature.
This feature is only designed to prevent the external surface of the heater reaching
dangerous temperatures to touch; it will not react directly to the temperature of its
environment.
