1. INTROdUcTION
Thank you for purchasing the Assam Manual-Fill Boiling Water Unit from Hyco Manufacturing Ltd.
The unit features double wall insulation for cooler surface and lower operating costs. The automatic
boil and simmer means that no temperature adjustment is required. The unit also features two heating
elements - a main element and a ‘keep warm’ element which operate from the thermostat.
do not proceed with installation or operation if there is sign of any damage to the product or the
power cord.

dO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANcE IN WATER.
dO NOT SWITcH ON THE APPLIANcE IF THERE IS NO WATER IN THE TANk.
ALWAyS USE THE APPLIANcE ON A dRy, LEVEL ANd HEAT-RESISTANT SURFAcE AWAy
FROM ANy EdGES.
ENSURE HANdS ARE dRy BEFORE USING THE APPLIANcE.
THIS APPLIANcE PROdUcES BOILING WATER – ENSURE THE UNIT IS OUT OF REAcH
OF cHILdREN.
THE OUTSIdE OF THE APPLIANcE GETS VERy HOT dURING USE. dO NOT TOUcH
THE SURFAcE.
dO NOT REMOVE THE TOP cOVER WHILE BOILING.
IF THE APPLIANcE IS OVERFILLEd, BOILING WATER MAy SPILL OUT OF THE UNIT.
TO ENSURE cORREcT OPERATION THE UNIT SHOULd BE OPERATEd IN AN AMBIENT
TEMPERATURE BETWEEN 10°c - 38°c.
THE APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.
3. INSTALLATION
Imortant - Before First Use
Clean the inside of tank and lid with hot, soapy water; then rinse thoroughly.
Plan your installation carefully and choose a suitable position for the unit.
• The unit comes pre-wired with a BS1363 13A plug.
• Place the unit upright on a firm and flat surface at a minimum of 100mm from any wall.
