Operation
Ÿ
Fusible link fire dampers are designed to operate without any command from an operator/system.
Ÿ
Links will release at the temperature embossed onto the link itself.
Ÿ
The use of electromagnets or solenoids enables the damper to be operated remotely, even when not exposed to
elevated temperatures.
Ÿ
This activation command may originate from an automated system, or a human operator.
Ÿ
Once the damper has been shut, it can only be opened manually.
Ÿ
Once exposed to elevated temperatures and/or flames causing the damper to shut, the damper must be replaced.
Spares
Ÿ
An amount of replacement fusible links should be kept on site.
