DISCONNECT  THE MACHINE FROM THE POWER SOURCE BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY 

MAINTENANCE

•  Keep the tool clean. Remove accumulated chips from working parts.

•  Make sure that the tool operates properly, periodically check screws and bolts for tightness.

•  Feed oil at the oiling points once a month for extended machine service life (machine oil is suitable for the saw).

All the motor bearings in this tool are lubricated with a sufficient amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the 

unit under normal operation conditions, therefore no further lubrication is required (see below).

Brush life varies and depends on the load on the motor. Check the brushes after the first 50 hours of use for a new 

machine or after a new set of brushes has been installed.

After the first check, examine them after about 10 hours of use until such time that replacement is necessary. 

The brush holders (A, figure 12) are located on the motor housing opposite each other. Illustrates one of the brushes 

removed for inspection. When the carbon on either brush is worn to 1/4” in length of it either spring or shunt wire is 

burned or damaged in any way, replace both brushes. If the brushes are found serviceable after removing, reinstall 

them in the same position as removed.
