Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a
horizontal position.

Remove screws

Remove cover

Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order
to push back the brake pistons. Ensure that brake fluid does
not flow out of the brake fluid reservoir, extracting it by suc-
tion if it does.
Info
Make sure that you do not press the brake caliper
against the spokes when pushing back the brake pis-
tons.

Remove cotter pin

Push leaf spring

upwards and remove pin

Remove brake linings.
–
Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper support.

Check that leaf spring

in the brake caliper and sliding
plate

in the brake caliper support are seated correctly.

Insert the new brake linings.

Mount pin

engages in the groove on the pin.

Always change the brake linings in pairs.

Mount cotter pins

Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake lin-
ings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure
point.
