INSTALLATION
STEP 3: MOTOR ASSEMBLY
NOTE
Be sure not to pinch the
motor cable when raising the
downrod into place.

Lift motor up to downrod while
pushing cables into downrod.
Feed the press studs through
downrod flange.
Secure with nylon lock nuts. (Pull
excess wire and cable through
top of downrod.)

Insert retention link
into fork and align
holes.
Insert clevis pin
into retention rod
and secure with
provided clip.

Align the connector from the motor with the
downrod connector.
Twist the collar on the connector to complete the
connection.
Be sure to twist until the connection locks.
Zip tie the motor cable to the safety cable to reduce
the opportunity to pinch the cable
NOTE
Leave
approximatlely 3”
of slack in the wire
and the cable at the
top of the downrod
opening.

CRUSH HAZARD. To prevent serious injury or death, ALWAYS attach the retention
cable to the fan motor and secure to the building structure on EVERY fan.
