Start by passing the elasticated chest
strap through the loops inside the chest
belt. Put the belt round the patient's
waist and tighten the chest strap. Fasten
the chest belt. You can do this when the
patient is lying down or sitting. The more
you tighten the chest strap, the better
the position of the sling when you lift the
patient.
about the product
Attach the two lifting straps to the lift bar.
When you start lifting the patient, he/she
will be leaning slightly forward. It will be
easier if the patient has something to hold
on to. This will make the patient more
stable and allow him/her to help during
the lifting process. In most cases it is
enough to lift the patient between 10 and
30 cm to dress or undress him/her. Make
sure that the patient is stable while being
lifted.
Alternative suspension method. The front
lifting straps can be attached to the lift
bar or the front hook, if the lift is fitted
with a three-point suspension system.
With this method the shoulder support
should be used. Because all four straps
are being used, the patient will be in a
more upright position. Please note that
the more weight that is supported by the
front lifting straps, the greater the risk
that the chest belt will slide up.
The Multi Sling has four lifting straps: two at the front and two at the back of the chest belt.
The pictures show two-point suspension, but the Multi Sling is also approved for three- and
four-point suspension. This must be tested in each individual case and depends on the patient's
condition and the intended use. Below is a description of the main uses: personal hygiene,
dressing and undressing and exercising. Please note that patients must have partial use of their
legs in order to be able to use the Multi Sling.
