Manual network selection (4-3)
With manual network selection, you can
select a service provider from a list of avail-
able ones.
To set manual network selection:
Select
Menu > Network > Network Mode
The current setting is displayed
Press
Change
Select
Manual
After a few seconds a list of service
providers for the active mode (GSM
or SAT) is displayed
Scroll to the desired service provider
Press
Select
If
GSM Preferred
is selected, the terminal
searches the list of GSM networks only. There
is the entry
Search SAT
at the end of the found
GSM networks. Select
Search SAT
to see the
available SAT networks:
Scroll to
Search GSM
respectively
Search SAT
at the bottom of the provider list
Press
Select
After a pause, a list of service
providers for the alternative mode
(GSM or SAT) is displayed; SAT
search may take up to a few min-
utes
Scroll to the desired service provider

Manual SAT registration (4-1)
You may find that you are no longer able to
receive SAT calls if your SAT registration is
out of date. This is indicated by the SAT icon
blinking or if the displayed service area ap-
pears to be incorrect. In this case you have to
update SAT registration manually to correct
this mismatch.
Note:
To use this function, your mobile phone has
to operate in SAT mode.
To send the signal for SAT registration:
Select
Menu > Network > SAT Registration
