Chapter 7
The System Control Center
This chapter describes the HX50/HX100 System Control Center,
which provides system status, configuration information, and
online documentation. The HX50/HX100 internal software is
updated periodically over the satellite link to the HX System
gateway (GTWY). Refer to
System Control Center Help page on
page 87 for current information about the System Control Center
and remote terminal software.

Accessing the System
Control Center You can access the System Control Center through any web
browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. Follow the steps
below to access the System Control Center through a browser.
Although the illustrations show Internet Explorer being used, you
can use the following procedure with any browser.

Note: The LAN1 port of the remote terminal has a default
address of 192.168.0.1; the LAN2 port has a default address
of 192.168.1.1. These are the addresses you typically use to
access the System Control Center from a computer
connected to either of the remote terminal Ethernet ports.
However, it is possible to assign alternate addresses to the
ports at the HX gateway. If alternate addresses have been
assigned, use those addresses instead to access the System
Control Center.
