Internal Adjustments

Station Address for SmartSeries

®

 Systems

To set the station address HI and LO (on the Base-24 PCBA), perform the following steps:

1.

 

Loosen the 4 captive screws that secure the front panel.

2.

 

Locate the address controls.

3.

 

Use the rotary switch labeled 

HI ADDR

 (on the Base-24 PCBA) to set the 1

st

 digit of the hexadecimal

address (for example, the A in address A6).  Use the rotary switch labeled 

LO ADDR 

(on the Base-24

PCBA) to set the 2

nd

 digit of the hexadecimal address (for example, the 6 in address A6) of the station

address.  

Note

:  During configuration, each station is assigned a unique address.  The address may

only be set to the value assigned in the system configuration.  It is recommended that this address be
marked on the enclosure for future reference.

4.

 

Plug the amplifier into the enclosure.

5.

 

Setting the station address to the correct value, and re-installing the amplifier causes the station to
initiates a configuration download request.  The time required to complete the download depends
upon system configuration and system activity, but several seconds is typical.

6.

 

When you are done with the adjustment, tighten the 4 screws.

Station Address for Page/Party

 Systems

To set the station address HI and LO (on the Base-24 PCBA), perform the following steps:

1.

 

Loosen the 4 captive screws that secure the front panel.

2.

 

Locate the address controls.

3.

 

Set the address on the replacement assembly to 04 (HI = 0, LO = 4) and plug it into the enclosure.

4.

 

When you are done with the adjustment, tighten the 4 screws.

Although they typically do not require adjustments, the following internal adjustments can be made:
Audio Transmit Level, Handset Receiver Volume, Tone Volume, and Station Reset.
