A.5.1.5 Affixing Labels
After printing or writing a label, remove the label from the label sheet and affix it to the signal
cable or the identification plate of the power cable.
Affixing Signal Cable Labels
l Choose where to affix labels.
Affix the label 2 cm from the connector on the signal cable. In special cases, to avoid
bending or otherwise affecting cables, affix the label elsewhere. As shown in
Figure
A-79 , orient the labels according to the following specifications:
– For vertical cabling, orient the rectangular part of the label out to the right.
–
For cabling laid out horizontally, orient the rectangular part of the label downward.
