Description
a: The alarm indicators on the baffles correspond to the alarm indicators on controller A and
controller B. The alarm indicator on the baffle corresponds to the alarm indicators on
controller A and controller B. When the alarm indicator on controller A or controller B is red
and on, the alarm indicator on the baffle is red and on. When the alarm indicator on controller
A or controller B is green and on, the alarm indicator on the baffle is green and on.
b: The VIS6000 configured with AC have power supply modules. The VIS6000 configured
with DC do not have power supply modules.
2.2.4 Configuring the IP Address of the Management Network Port
This section introduces the procedure for configuring the IP address of the management network
port of the VIS6000 for the first time.
CAUTION
l
In the factory configuration of the VIS6000, the management network port does not have an
IP address. You can manage the VIS6000 through the management network port only after
configuring the IP address of the management network port in CLI mode through the
configuration network port or the system debugging serial port.
l
The IP addresses of the configuration network ports on controller A and controller B are both
192.168.3.10 and cannot be modified. To avoid the conflict between the IP addresses, the
configuration network ports on controller A and controller B cannot be connected to the same
switch or the same network.
l
The IP address of the maintenance terminal must be set as 192.168.3.11 in order to connect
with the configuration network port.
l
The IP addresses of the heartbeat network ports on controller A are 192.168.1.10 and
192.168.2.10 and cannot be modified.
l
The IP addresses of the heartbeat network ports on controller B are 192.168.1.11 and
192.168.2.11 and cannot be modified.
To set the IP addresses of the management network port, conform to the following principles:
l
The IP addresses of the management network port and the GE service port must be
configured on different network segments.
l
192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0, and 192.168.3.0 are three reserved network segments of the
VIS6000. When setting the IP address for the management network port, you should avoid
setting an IP address within the three network segments. If you need to set an IP address
within the three network segments, avoid the following IP addresses: 192.168.1.10,
192.168.1.11, 192.168.2.10, 192.168.2.11, 192.168.3.10, and 192.168.3.11.
Management Interface
Each controller of the VIS6000 has three management interfaces:
