If a rack houses multiple N2000H V3s and only one fails, the faulty N2000H V3 is
located.
Identifying a fault is the basis for taking proper measures to rectify the fault.
Identifying the fault is a process of finding its real cause among many possible causes. By
analyzing and comparing all possible causes and then excluding impossible factors, you can
determine the cause to the fault. If a specific fault occurs during a given time period, the
single-cause rule helps to identify the fault.
Accurate and quick identification improves the efficiency of rectifying faults. In addition, it
helps to avoid further issues. For example, the fault could become more serious due to
improper operation.
Procedure
Step 1
Determine whether the fault is an identified one according to the symptom.
If yes, go to
If no, go to
Step 2
Rectify the fault according to the troubleshooting suggestion.
Step 3
Check whether the fault is rectified.
If yes, no further action is required.
If no, go to
Step 4
Check that the power supply to the chassis is correct. If the indicator on the power supply unit
(PSU) is steady green, the power supply is normal.
Step 5
Check that the keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) cable is properly connected to the
N2000H V3.
Step 6
Determine whether the faults are system faults collected on the intelligent baseboard
management controller (iBMC):

Step 7
Power off the N2000H V3. For details, see
Step 8
Remove the N2000H V3 from the cabinet. For details, see
Step 9
Remove or disconnect one of the following components at one time, and then power on the
N2000H V3. If the fault persists, repeat the same step on another component until you locate
the fault:
1.
RAID controller card
2.
PCIe card
3.
Dual in-line memory module (DIMM)
4.
Hard disk
The following lists the minimum hardware configurations required for starting the N2000H
V3:
