Adding a remote control
Your phone's Smart Controller is compatible with a number of different home
appliances. Add a remote control for a supported home appliance to control
it with your phone.
1.
On the home screen, touch
Tools
>
Smart Controller
.
2.
Touch
.
3.
Select a type of home appliance.
4.
Select a brand.
5.
Point the infrared sensor at the top of your phone towards the target home
appliance. Follow the onscreen prompts to test the keys.
If the home appliance responds correctly after you touch a key, touch
Yes
and test other keys.
6.
After all keys have been tested, touch
OK
.
Customising a remote control
You can customise a remote control for a home appliance if no default remote
controls are available.
1.
On the home screen, touch
Tools
>
Smart Controller
.
2.
Touch
>
Customise
.
3.
Slide your finger across the screen to select the remote control you want to
customise.
4.
Touch the key you want to program.
5.
Point the infrared sensor of the target remote control towards the infrared
sensor at the top of your phone. Then press and hold the corresponding
button on the target remote control for more than 2 seconds.
6.
After the key has been programmed, touch
Save
.
7.
Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 to program all keys. Touch
to save your
settings.
