Installing the Data Card
The procedure for installing the data card program is subject to the operating system
installed on your laptop. The following section takes Windows XP as an example.
Note
: Make sure that the management program of the data card has been installed before you insert
the data card into your laptop.
1.
Insert the supplied CD into the CD-ROM drive.
2.
The
QuickLink Mobile Setup
program runs automatically. The
Welcome
interface
is displayed.
3.
Click
Next
.
The
License Agreenment
interface is displayed.
4.
Read the license agreement, select "I agree…" and click
Next
.
The
Choose Destination Location
interface is displayed.
5.
It is recommended to use the default directory for optimum performance. Click
Next
.
6.
The QuickLink Mobile is installed.
7.
Click
Finish
when the
Installation Complete
interface is displayed.
8.
The QuickLink Mobile Setup Wizard runs.
9.
Follow the onscreen setup. Insert the data card into the PCMCIA slot when prompted.
Click
Next
.
10.
Follow the onscreen prompt to enter the phone number, and click
Next
.
11.
Click
Finish
to end the installation.
