5.3 LPUF-21 and FPIC

This chapter describes the structure and specifications of the Flexible Card Line Processing Unit
(LPUF-21, 2 sub-slots) and FPIC.

5.3.1 LPUF-21

Overview

The LPUF-21 backplane has two slots, each of which can be inserted with a half-high FPIC.

The LPUF-21 backplane supports a maximum bandwidth of 20 Gbit/s and the intermixing of
FPICs.

CAUTION

The LPUF-21 backplane does not support the hot swap of FPICs.

Figure 5-9
